Groundskeeper

Position Summary:

Indio Management seeks an independent and fast-paced Groundskeeper to join our team! Under the Service Manager's supervision, the Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining clean property grounds to enhance and maintain cleanliness and curb appeal.

Essential Functions:

  • Cleans the common, amenity, and ground areas daily.

  • Responsible for the daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds, including cleaning and removing trash.

  • Water and upkeep community landscaping as needed/directed.

  • Pressure wash curbs, entrances, sidewalks, breezeways, and other surfaces.

  • Paint and clean signage for a professional appearance.

  • Perform interior and exterior painting duties as needed.

  • Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.

  • In the event of snow/ice, spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup (as needed), rake, sweep, and shovel.

  • Must be available to work overtime, days, nights, evenings, and weekends, as necessary.

  • Ensure a professional appearance and manner for oneself and all personnel at all times.

  • Other duties assigned.

Job Competencies:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Must have the ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships at every level among the organization and with external customers and vendors

  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos

  • Ability to effectively communicate information with residents, vendors, and other organization employees.

  • Strong working knowledge and technical ability of all aspects of building maintenance and repair

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to take direction, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment

  • Knowledge of SightPlan a plus.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or general equivalency degree (GED), preferred

  • Must have a minimum of 3-months experience in a similar role/related experience
