Leasing/Resident Services Coordinator

Position Summary:

Indio Management seeks an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented Leasing/Resident Service Coordinator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our team! The primary objective is to create a high level of resident satisfaction. The person holding this position is often the primary contact for residents, requiring excellent customer service and communication. The job calls for skills in market research, traditional marketing, social media management, leasing, and customer care.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to all resident requests/complaints in a timely, efficient and courteous manner, working closing with the Community Manager. Includes helping residents and prospects before, during, and after leasing an apartment.

  • Analyze, assess and follow up for overall customer satisfaction.

  • Monitors department issues and client complaints to define patterns and work to lessen those recurring issues

  • Assists with or performs administrative tasks

  • Assist in marketing expectations, including, but not necessarily limited to email, social media, and Preferred Employers.

  • Manage renewal process; ensure monthly renewal goals are achieved.

  • Prepare and distribute all lease renewal letters to lease expirations.

  • Plan, organize and implement resident activities and events and participate/lead community outreach/volunteer activities

  • Support leasing staff as required; lease to qualified prospects by showing available apartments. Show and sell apartments to possible 'Transfer on Site' situations

  • Available to host and attend evening and weekend resident events.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Competencies:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have the ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships at every level among the organization and with external customers

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to take direction, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment

  • Excellent presentation/sales skills, with the ability to close on sales

  • Have thorough knowledge of Fair Housing laws

  • Knowledge of ResMan, Knock, Anyone Home, and SightPlan a plus.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, or general equivalency degree (GED)

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Property Manager role.

  • Experience in residential property management a plus
